HAJJ OPERATIONS

The Gambia International Airlines Ltd, the most trusted and major hajj operator in The Gambia, have over 15 years of experience in hajj operations, rendering quality services year after year to the immense satisfaction of our teeming pilgrims.
A. Payment of Hajj Package

Accept hajj payment made through any Vista Bank, Agib Bank & Zenith Bank branches within the Greater Banjul Area, for pilgrims to make payments at the earliest possible time to secure seats.
- Submission of Bank slips to GIA offices for updating
- Provision of pilgrims’ suitcases, purses and scarfs
- Tobaski (Eid-ul-Adha) Ram as part of the package
B. Pilgrim Sensitisation
- Provide first-hand information through radio stations and the national television to intending pilgrims about:
- - hajj payment
- - injections against yellow fever and meningitis
- - applying for a Gambian passport
C. Processing Hajj Visas
- On payment of hajj deposits, intending pilgrims are asked to submit passports, medical and vaccination certificates as well as two passport-size photos to process their visas
- Once visas are processed and secured through an e-system portal, pilgrims are asked to collect their passports with hajj visas plus their air tickets and other relevant hajj travel documents
- Pilgrims are then allocated aircraft seats on a first-come, first-served basis
- Provision of Medical Personnel
- - We have medical personnel that travel with pilgrims to attend to their health needs
D. Pilgrim Transportation to and from Saudi Arabia
- Timely airlifting of pilgrims to and from Saudi Arabia
- Traveling in ease and comfort
E. Pilgrim Accommodation in KSA
- Comfortable accommodation for pilgrims in both Medina and Mecca fully A/C
- In Medina, our pilgrim accommodation is within a walking distance of the Mosque of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). It normally takes less than five minutes to walk from the accommodation to the mosque.
- In Mecca, we have clean and tidy accommodation that is closest to the Holy Ka’aba
F. Hajj Performance
- Provision of hajj guides who accompany pilgrims when they are:
- - Going to the mosque to pray
- - Visiting holy sites
- - Shopping in the markets
- - Learning hajj rites and rituals
- Provision of GIA officials who help with:
- - Movement from one place to another within the kingdom be it n Medina, Mecca, Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah and Jamrat
- - Preparation of requisite hajj documentation
- - Weighing of baggage
- Provision of 3 Course Meal:
- - Pilgrims are catered for in both Mecca and Medina with a 3-course meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) throughout their stay in KSA
