FLIGHT OPERATIONS

GIA is open for viable partnership!

By our Vision, Mission, legal status and mandate, the operation of international air services is meant to be the core business activity of GIA. However, mainly for lack of requisite financial resources, a strategic decision was taken early in the life of the company to defer independent flight operations. Nonetheless, several attempts have been made at joint operations with a number of partner airlines.

Establishment of a strong, well-managed and sustainable home based air carrier to improve air access and support tourism and economic development is a national aspiration and a priority for government. It is a critical success factor for the vision of transforming Banjul International Airport into a regional hub.

GIA management has not lost sight of all these considerations and is determined to launch successful flight operations and fulfill the company’s mandate. Thus, we continue to search for potential partners to revive out Flight Operations activity!
